Organization Information The Christian County School District is the eleventh largest in the state of Kentucky. Our district consists of eight elementary schools, two middle schools, two high schools and an expanding career and technical center, Gateway Academy to Innovation and Technology. Our state-recognized model alternative programs include an Alternative School, a 21st Century Academy, and a Day Treatment Center. Our student population is diverse with at least twenty-two languages represented. In Christian County, we are transforming our educational environment to meet the ongoing demands of 21st Century learning so that all students are engaged in a high quality, equitable education and are prepared for community and global responsibilities.

Description FOR THIS TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT, STATE LAW REQUIRES A NATIONAL AND STATE CRIMINAL HISTORY BACKGROUND CHECK AND HAVE A LETTER, PROVIDED BY THE INDIVIDUAL, FROM THE CABINET FOR HEALTH AND FAMILY SERVICES STATING THE EMPLOYEE IS CLEAR TO HIRE BASED ON NO FINDINGS OF SUBSTANTIATED CHILD ABUSE OR NEGLECT FOUND THROUGH A BACKGROUND CHECK OF CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT RECORDS MAINTAINED BY THE CABINET FOR HEALTH AND FAMILY SERVICES AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Kentucky Certification for Supervisor of Instruction and valid Kentucky Teacher Certificate
• Three to five years instructional leadership experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong knowledge in statistical analysis, interpretation of data, and implications based on findings
• Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction and assessment
• Experience and other qualifications as the superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
