Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and execution-focused Director of eCommerce to own and grow our DTC business. This role will be responsible for the performance of our website, email and SMS channels, onsite merchandising, conversion rate optimization, and the overall digital customer experience.

Description

● Own the day-to-day performance and ongoing optimization of the eCommerce website.

● Develop and execute strategies to increase conversion rate, average order value, revenue per visitor, and overall site revenue.

● Continuously analyze the customer journey to identify friction points and opportunities for improvement.

● Lead conversion rate optimization initiatives, including A/B testing of product pages, offers, navigation, checkout, and other key site experiences.

● Own onsite merchandising, including product positioning, collections, bundles, upsells, cross-sells, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.

● Manage product launches and ensure new products are properly represented and merchandised across the website.

● Partner with developers and designers to prioritize and execute website improvements.

● Monitor site performance and quickly identify and resolve issues affecting conversion or customer experience.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of mobile and desktop shopping behavior and optimize experiences accordingly.

Profile

A successful Director of E-Commerce should have:

  • 5+ years of eCommerce experience with a DTC Ecommerce Brand managing website and digital experience doing at least $25M in revenue per year
  • Experience with platforms such asShopify orWooCommerce
    • Experience running conversion rate tests on websites, including strategizing tests to run and monitoring performance
  • Experience withKlaviyo, Postscript, Attentive, or other email service providers.
    • Experience creating email marketing strategies and calendars, and doing meaningful email and SMS Testing.
  • Deep understanding of onsite merchandising, and theDTC customer journey.
    • Strong understanding of customer retention, repeat purchase behavior, and lifetime value
  • Demonstrated experience managing and growing a meaningful eCommerce business.
  • Ability to work effectively with designers, developers, copywriters, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
