About this Job
The Director of Early College at LSUS serves as a strategic and academic leader responsible for driving the expansion, implementation, and academic quality of the university's rapidly growing Dual Enrollment (DE) and Academic Excellence (AEP) programs. The Director acts as the primary university liaison for external partner school districts, ensures strict academic quality and accreditation compliance (SACS and NACEP), and serves as the lead administrative developer for new high school initiatives. The Director manages operational, instructional, and administrative processes, collaborating closely with Admissions, Accounting, Records, and academic departments to streamline workflows and support student retention. This position reports directly to the Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences. Travel to regional partner schools is required to facilitate site visits, advisory sessions, and professional development. The successful candidate might occasionally be invited to teach a course in their discipline. Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree or when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
