This role collaborates with internal divisions, local education agencies, school leaders, community-based organizations, private schools, external partners, and vendors to ensure efficient, compliant, and customer-focused service delivery.
Job Overview:
The Director of e-Grants Operations is responsible for leading the administration, enhancement, and continuous improvement of the department's electronic grants management and planning platform, operational processes, user access controls, and internal and external partner support services. This position directs system implementation activities, vendor relationships, project coordination, training initiatives, and operational compliance efforts to support the effective administration of federal and state education programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Operations, Grants Management, and System Administration:
Direct the administration, enhancement, and implementation of grant management systems, funding applications, and data collection tools; oversee vendor relationships, project planning, system improvements, testing, deployments, and stakeholder coordination to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements and successful program implementation.
Resource Management and Department Communications:
Oversee the development and maintenance of platform resources, document libraries, communication tools, processes, templates, and tracking systems that support effective information management and stakeholder communication.
User Access Administration and Internal Controls:
Manage user access administration, security compliance, audit activities, and internal controls; oversee access documentation, reporting, compliance reviews, and staff responsible for processing user access requests to ensure appropriate system security and accountability.
Training, Technical Assistance, and Support:
Lead statewide training, technical assistance, and user support efforts by developing and delivering professional learning, guidance, and operational resources that promote effective platform utilization, grant administration, and consistent program implementation.
Leadership and Operational Oversight:
Supervise staff and provide strategic leadership for operational improvement initiatives, stakeholder engagement, project monitoring, and reporting activities that enhance system performance, compliance, customer service, and organizational effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Possession of a Master's degree and substantial educational work experience (5 or more years) including 3 years of education administration or supervisory work.
OR
An equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
