Responsible for development, implementation, delivery and oversight of the didactic phase curriculum and assessment.
Reports to: PA Program Director

Duties:
Works with the Program Director and Director of Clinical Education to develop and implement a comprehensive, progressive didactic curriculum
Works with the Program Director and Director of Clinical Education develop and implement horizontal and longitudinal goals and learning objectives within the curriculum to ensure a system of progressive student learning and assessment across the continuum of the program
Works with the Program Director and Director of Clinical Education to develop a strategy to design, implement and maintain curricular mapping of the didactic phase of the PA curriculum
Implements and oversees the ongoing delivery and evaluation of the didactic phase of the program
Development, implementation and oversight of the didactic curriculum and assessment plan for the didactic phase of the program
Serves as program liaison to the Biomedical Science and Medical School faculty to facilitate integration of biomedical sciences into the didactic curriculum
Assigns course directors for each course within the didactic curriculum
Course director or co-director as assigned
Classroom instruction and small group facilitation in the PA program in areas of expertise
Chair, Didactic Education Committee
Develops and participates in student assessment and evaluation
Provides student advising
Contributes to application evaluation, interviews and selection of matriculating students
Participates in site visits to clinical preceptors, as needed
Participates in the ongoing program evaluation and accreditation processes
Scholarly activity in areas of research interest
Serves on university and School of Medicine committees, as requested
Qualifications
Required:
Physcian Assistant Certified (PA-C)
Master's Degree
State Licensure (or license-eligible)
2+ years of experience in PA education
