Director of Development & Community Relations

The Arc Columbia-Saratoga is seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Development & Community Relations to help advance our mission of supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Position Overview

The Director of Development & Community Relations leads the organization's fundraising, marketing, communications, and community engagement efforts. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive annual development plan that supports The Arc Columbia-Saratoga's mission and strategic goals.

Working closely with the CEO, Leadership Team, Foundation Board, and committees, you will identify and cultivate funding opportunities, strengthen donor relationships, and increase community awareness and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual fundraising, marketing, communications, and community relations strategies
• Partner with leadership, board members, and committees to maximize fundraising opportunities
• Cultivate and steward donors while growing donor retention and long-term support
• Lead fundraising initiatives including
• Support recruitment and engagement of Foundation Board and committee members
• Oversee organizational communications
• Ensure consistent messaging, branding, and mission-focused communications across all platforms
• Monitor fundraising performance, analyze results, and prepare reports for stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, marketing, public relations, donor relations, or communications (5+ years preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
