  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as SQL, Informatica, and SSIS, ensuring efficient data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
  • Architect and manage modern cloud-based data platforms leveraging technologies such as Databricks and Azure Fabric, enabling scalable and high-performance data processing.
  • Oversee data integration across core insurance systems, third-party data providers, and internal platforms, ensuring data quality, consistency, and availability.

  • Partner with actuarial, finance, risk, and business teams to deliver data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and advanced modeling initiatives.
  • Drive modernization initiatives, transitioning legacy data environments to cloud-native architectures and improving overall data accessibility and performance.
  • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance data engineering capabilities.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for data platform performance, reliability, and delivery effectiveness.

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Define team structure, resource planning, and development pathways to support evolving business and technology needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to prioritize initiatives and ensure successful delivery of data programs.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and modern data architectures.
  • Experience implementing data governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale data initiatives and manage cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies.
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics, machine learning, or actuarial modeling data pipelines.
  • Experience in cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.

This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who can drive data transformation initiatives while ensuring operational excellence in a highly regulated P&C insurance environment.
