Director of Counseling Services
Salary Range: 90k to 100k (Salary determination is based on experience & qualifications & licenses)
Trinity Washington University seeks a Director of Counseling Services located in the Health and Wellness Center. The Health and Wellness Center supports the academic mission of Trinity by providing professional health and wellness services to Trinity Washington University students. The Director of Counseling Services provides direct counseling/therapy to students and oversees clinical services, crisis intervention, and student support programs. The Director of Counseling provides a full range of clinical and non-clinical services. This position provides supervision to other counseling staff and Interns (as available) in the Health Center, and reports to the Director of Health & Wellness Center.
Education Requirements & Qualifications:
A Master's degree is required; Master's or Doctoral Degree: requires a graduate degree in Counseling, Clinical Social Work, or Psychology.
Must have an Active DC License. Must hold credentials such as those below to practice independently:
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD)
Experience with mental health provision in a college or university counseling center.
Must carry malpractice insurance.
Clinical supervisor experience that includes reviewing clinical documentation for services rendered by supervisees.
Knowledge, skill, and experience specifically focused on the needs of students of color, students from indigenous communities, LGBTQIA students, international students, students from diverse religious affiliations, students with disabilities, undocumented students, ELL / MLL students, and/or first-generation college students on a university campus.
