Parking at a discounted rate.Position Summary:The Director of Corporate Partnerships & Events is responsible for developing, managing, and growing corporate partnerships and fundraising events that advance the organization's mission and contributed revenue goals. Reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with fellow Advancement staff, this position leads strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate partners while overseeing the planning and execution of signature fundraising events.The Director of Corporate Partnerships & Events builds meaningful relationships with corporate supporters, develops compelling partnership opportunities, and ensures a high-quality experience for sponsors, donors, guests, and community partners. This position requires a demonstrated ability to develop relationships, manage complex projects, achieve revenue goals, and collaborate effectively across departments.Supervisory Responsibilities:  Supervises volunteers, interns, and event support staff as assigned.Essential Job Duties:In collaboration with the Director of Institutional Partnerships and Executive Director, develop and execute corporate partnership and event fundraising strategies aligned with organizational priorities and revenue goals.Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate partners and sponsors to increase contributed revenue and build long-term relationships.Manage a portfolio of corporate prospects through research, outreach, relationship development, proposal creation, solicitation, and stewardship.Develop compelling sponsorship packages, partnership proposals, and customized opportunities that align organizational priorities with corporate goals.Manage the full lifecycle of corporate partnerships, including prospect identification, solicitation, agreements, benefit fulfillment, recognition, renewal, and stewardship.Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to identify and develop sponsorship opportunities connected to programs, exhibits, initiatives, and events.Serve as the primary liaison for corporate sponsors, ensuring effective communication, engagement, and fulfillment of partnership benefits.Establish systems and processes to support effective corporate relationship management, sponsorship tracking, and reporting.Plan, coordinate, and execute signature fundraising events, including the annual Gala, in collaboration with leadership, committees, volunteers, vendors, and external partners.Serve as the primary staff liaison for fundraising events including exhibit openings and cultivation/stewardship events. Manage timelines, communications, logistics, vendor relationships, and event execution.Partner with the Executive Director, Board members, event committees, and event chairs to achieve successful fundraising outcomes.Manage event budgets, monitor expenses, evaluate results, and analyze revenue, participation, and return on investment to inform future strategies.Collaborate with the Advancement team on donor cultivation, stewardship, communications, fundraising initiatives, and database management.Maintain accurate records of corporate partnerships, sponsorship activity, event participation, and donor information while adhering to organizational policies and fundraising best practices.Additional Responsibilities:Support the development and monitoring of the Advancement department budget related to corporate partnerships and events.Monitor appropriate contracts, invoices, vendor agreements, and event-related financial activity.Positively and accurately represent the organization to corporate partners, donors, volunteers, community members, and external stakeholders.Participate in organizational initiatives and collaborate with colleagues across departments to advance mission-driven goals.Act as Director on Duty periodically on weekends.Adhere to all organization policies and procedures in the execution of duties.This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time based on business needs and in support of the mission of Children's Museum of Pittsburgh.Job Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's Degree in a related field.Substitution of years of experience may be considered equivalent to formal educational training.Experience:5+ Years of experience in corporate fund raising.Prior experience coordinating events is preferred.Skills:Strong computer skills.Must have strong analytical and communication skills.Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Ability to work cross-departmentally.Organized and exhibit "follow-through" on tasks and goals.Physical Requirements & Equipment Usage:Must be able to remain in a stationary position.The person in this position frequently moves about the office and the museum.May occasionally lift up to 15 lbs. when handling boxes for record retention.The person in this position frequently communicates with staff, guests, and partners. Must be able to exchange accurate information.The physical demands and work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.
