About Forged Fiber

At Forged Fiber, our mission is bold but simple: deliver fast, reliable, future-proof connectivity that builds the foundation for everything online. As we execute, we believe the right way to do something is the only way. This foundation guides how the company builds, operates, and maintains a state-of-the-art open-access fiber network platform that empowers millions. We’re looking for top-tier talent to join Forged Fiber—people who can bring this mindset to everyday work and deliver meaningful results.

Forged Fiber is about more than building a network—it’s about people. Every role matters. Every contribution counts. Together, employees create impact through teamwork, trust, and a shared commitment to excellence.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced, strategic Director of Corporate Communications to lead and elevate Forged Fiber’s internal and external communications. This role will shape the company’s narrative, increase employee engagement, strengthen our reputation, and ensure we share consistent, compelling messaging across all audiences.

This is a highly visible leadership role for a communications expert who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, works autonomously, and serves as a trusted advisor to senior and executive leaders.

What You’ll Do

As Director of Corporate Communications, you will:

  • Lead corporate communications strategy: Design, develop, and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that drives employee engagement and supports business goals.
  • Own messaging and content: Build and govern a unified messaging framework across internal and external channels. Create and oversee content, including executive communications, presentations, and multimedia assets.
  • Drive internal communications and culture: Launch and manage internal communications programs—such as leadership town halls, Q&A forums, and narrative-driven updates—designed to engage employees and reinforce alignment, transparency, and culture.
  • Support executive and leadership communications: Partner closely with senior leadership to deliver clear, authentic messaging through talking points, speeches, video scripts, town halls, and company-wide updates.
  • Support reputation and crisis management: Develop and maintain a proactive reputation management and crisis communications framework in close partnership with Legal and Compliance.
  • Spearhead media, public affairs, analyst, and thought leadership engagement: Lead media relations, public affairs, and analyst engagement, including exclusive briefings and visibility initiatives that shape perception and strengthen market authority.

About You

You are a strategic, confident communications leader with strong executive presence and a proven ability to influence and inspire organizational culture. You think big but pay attention to detail. You’re a problem solver that is skilled at shaping internal and external narratives and delivering consistent, value-aligned messaging across multiple channels and audiences. You bring:

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, media relations, reputation management, and public affairs
  • A strong track record of developing and executing integrated communications strategies in complex organizations, aligned with business goals
  • Deep expertise in internal communications, executive visibility, crisis communications, and stakeholder engagement
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with executive-level presence
  • Experience driving engagement across cross-functional teams and managing agencies and external partners
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, matrixed environment with competing priorities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
