The Contractor Sales Director is responsible for bringing purpose and a plan of action for customer accounts. The role will manage a team of Sales professionals that are working to foster customer relationships and grow market share. This position works closely with and builds strong relationships with customers, partners, and cross functional teams.
Develop and execute regional sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive market growth
Develop self and others – assign and accept challenging assignments to expand professional knowledge and capabilities of self and others
Embody leadership qualities that are in line with organizational culture and development of associates
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, vendors, reps, internal and external stakeholders
Ensure Sales team makes consistent sales calls on assigned accounts
Reviews performance of the Sales team as it relates to overall sales performance goals
Survey new potential accounts and existing account on a routine basis
Develop strong customer and vendor relationships
Ability to partner and work cross functionally with internal support teams to align sales efforts with business objectives
Analyze changes in the market conditions and ensure strategy to prepare and respond accordingly
Develop broad product knowledge to assist customer with product sale and application
Develop annual budget and manage regional sales budget
Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
Other duties as assigned
Proven experience in sales leadership roles within electrical industry or related field
Strong leadership and management skills with ability to lead and manage a business unit
Proven track record of directing, developing and managing people
Drive continual improvement through ongoing training and mentoring
Ability to establish strong working relationships with co-workers, peers and customers
Strong planning, execution, and analytical skills
Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills
Must possess excellent customer service skills
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary business information
Experience with Eclipse or similar CRM system
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Sales/Marketing and 5+ years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Electrical, Industrial and/or distribution experience preferred but not required
