Director Of Construction

Reporting to the executive leadership team, the Director of Construction will be responsible for overseeing all construction operations, driving financial performance, and supporting the continued expansion of a successful design-build business. The Director of Construction will play a critical leadership role across project delivery, safety, pre-construction, client management, and team development.

  • Lead the construction division with full profit and loss accountability for an annual revenue stream of approximately $50 million.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for multiple concurrent projects across industrial, manufacturing, cleanroom, pharmaceutical, and advanced technology markets.
  • Manage and develop a team of Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and Superintendents.
  • Drive project execution excellence, ensuring delivery against budget, schedule, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Partner closely with engineering, pre-construction, and executive teams to support business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients while identifying opportunities for repeat business and operational improvement.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration, and high-performance project delivery.

For the Director of Construction we are seeking:

  • Proven experience leading construction operations with full profit and loss responsibility.
  • Strong background delivering industrial, manufacturing, mission-critical, cleanroom, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, aerospace, or technically complex construction projects.
  • Experience within a design-build environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects and geographically diverse teams.
  • Leadership experience overseeing Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and Superintendents.
  • Strong understanding of pre-construction, safety, scheduling, risk management, and commercial project controls.
  • Exceptional decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively within an entrepreneurial environment where leaders have significant autonomy and influence.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Base Salary = $190k - $235k
  • Truck allowance = $850
  • Annual bonus opportunity ~ 20% - 25%
