    The Athletics Department at Bryant University invites applications for the position of Director of Compliance. Bryant University is an NCAA Division I program, sponsoring 25 varsity sports, and is a member of the America East Conference as well as an associate member of the Coastal Athletic Association, Big South, and Ohio Valley Conferences. This position reports to the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance. The Director of Compliance is responsible for assisting in the administration and oversight of the University's NCAA Division I compliance program. The position will support efforts to ensure institutional compliance with NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations while promoting a culture of rules education, monitoring, and ethical conduct throughout the athletics department.

    This is a full-time, twelve-month position. Salary is market-based and reflective of the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.     Principal Accountabilities

    Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Assisting with the day-to-day administration of the athletics compliance program and monitoring systems
    • Providing NCAA, conference, and institutional rules education to student-athletes, coaches, staff, boosters, and campus constituents
    • Monitoring recruiting activities, including official and unofficial visits, recruiting communications, and permissible contacts
    • Reviewing and processing NCAA compliance forms, waivers, interpretations, educational materials, and documentation
    • Assisting with the certification of student-athlete eligibility, including amateurism, enrollment, progress-toward-degree, and transfer requirements
    • Assist with Managing Institutional Athletic Aid documentation in collaboration with Financial Aid and Admissions
    • Monitoring playing and practice seasons, countable athletically related activities (CARA), and related NCAA legislation
    • Conducting compliance audits and maintaining accurate records to support NCAA and conference reporting requirements
    • Researching NCAA legislation and preparing rules interpretations for coaches and staff
    • Assisting with investigations, self-reports, and responses related to potential rules violations
    • Collaborating with Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Academic Support, and other campus partners to ensure compliance with institutional and NCAA requirements
    • Supporting NCAA and conference reporting, data submissions, and governance initiatives
    • Assisting with the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices related to compliance operations
    • Performing other duties as assigned

    This position requires evening and weekend hours to support athletics and compliance-related activities.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of two years of experience in NCAA compliance, athletics administration, higher education, or a related field. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in sport management, higher education, business administration, law, or a related field
    • Previous experience working in NCAA Division I athletics compliance
    • Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules, bylaws, and governance structures
    • Experience with compliance software platforms and NCAA applications
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
    • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to interact effectively with student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and campus partners
    • Demonstrated commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and ethical decision-making
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
