Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
  • Oversee all aspects of the clinical engineering program, ensuring optimal performance of medical equipment.
  • Lead a team of supervisors and technical staff, providing mentorship, performance management, and professional development.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibration of medical equipment meet quality and compliance standards.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, service quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Compliance & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards (CIHQ, DNV, Joint Commission) and hospital policies.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to align biomedical services with patient care priorities.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and capital planning for equipment procurement and lifecycle management.
Financial & Business Management:
  • Oversee departmental budgets, financial performance, and cost-control measures.
  • Identify opportunities for organic growth, operational savings, and service expansion.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience managing biomedical services in a large healthcare system.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, including supervising technical teams and collaborating with executive/C-suite stakeholders.
Key Skills & Competencies:
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance (CIHQ, DNV, JCAHO) and safety protocols.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting, vendor negotiations, and financial oversight.
  • Proven ability to resolve conflicts, drive process improvements, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Project management skills for capital planning and equipment lifecycle management.
