Description
Financial Services Firm in Tampa, Florida is seeking a Director of Clearing Risk
Responsibilities:
Daily monitoring of net capital, excess net capital, liquidity, and clearinghouse requirements
Development and monitoring of Early Warning Indicators (EWIs)
VaR, stress testing, and scenario analysis
NSCC, DTC, OCC, and settlement liquidity exposure
Client, correspondent, counterparty, and concentration risk
Capital forecasting and assessment of whether the firm has sufficient resources to support current and projected clearing volumes
Establishing risk limits, escalation thresholds, and management reporting
Working closely with the CEO, FINOP/CFO, Clearing Operations, Compliance, and Treasury
Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant risk experience
Meaningful experience working at a U.S. clearing broker or self-clearing broker-dealer
Strong understanding of SEC/Client net capital requirements, clearinghouse margin/deposit requirements, liquidity risk, and broker-dealer market risk
Experience building or managing clearing risk dashboards, EWIs, VaR, stress testing, and capital frameworks
Senior enough to independently challenge the business and escalate risk issues to executive management
