The Administrative Director of Cardiology facilitates the integration and teamwork of all Cardiovascular Departments (Cardiology, Cath Lab, EP Lab, ECHO, Heart Failure, and Outreach) for optimal care of patients.
The Administrative Director works in conjunction with the facility administrative staff, the Cardiovascular Services Medical Director and the cardiac physicians to ensure the highest level of care for patients and ensures that all services provided meet all regulatory requirements and guidelines.
The Admin Director works with physicians to adopt and incorporate quality initiatives, understand economic considerations, and increase physician/hospital alignment.
The Admin Director is responsible for development of strategic and tactical plans to maximize the
effectiveness of Cardiovascular services at the facility to align with HCA initiatives. This includes budget planning and management (capital and operational).
The Admin Director will continue to develop product line and continue to work on expanding the business.
Specific duties will include physician recruitment, business development, and marketing & sales.
The Admin Director is responsible for the integration of the cardiology medical practices with the inpatient services.
Operational responsibilities also include STEMI status for Cardiology and working collaboratively with other HCA facilities.
Education: Bachelor’s or 5 year’s healthcare experience required. Master’s degree preferred (MSN, MBA or MHA).
Licensure/ BCLS Required
Experience: Minimum of five years of healthcare management experience in cardiovascular related fields or other program
development service lines. Minimum five years’ experience in service line development.
