By enabling drug developers to move beyond traditional randomized clinical trials N-Power dramatically accelerates drug development timelines broadens access to clinical trials in the community and brings transformative therapies to patients faster.Position OverviewThe Director of Business Development will be a key member of N-Powers Commercial Team and is responsible for identifying structuring and executing partnerships or strategic collaborations with pharma and biotech. The ideal candidate will have experience developing markets and driving first time and repeat sales of data and clinical trial products to life sciences customers. In this individual contributor role you will be expected to build deep relationships and sell to executive-level SVP EVP etc. and senior-level Director VP personnel in clinical development biostatistics commercial real world data and translational medicine groups.This position is remote within the United States with preference towards geographies near biopharma hubs SF Boston Princeton Chicago San Diego New York CityRole Objectives and Responsibilities-Identify structure and execute trial-level and enterprise-level deals with pharma biotech with strong emphasis on top 30 pharma-Understand and navigate decision makers influencers and project-level personnel to achieve multi-tiered customer relationships-Leverage and grow professional network in clinical development translational medicine data science biostats and real-world data to drive immediate impact-Organize and lead presentations including deck ideationdevelopment bringing the right experts and managing preparation-Generate and negotiate contracts including deal terms pricing IP terms among other businesslegal items-Work closely with Operations Clinical Science Product and Data teams to evaluate business opportunities scope offeringsolution and deliver high quality proposals proposal writing experience is a must-Become an expert in external control arms real-world data and clinical trial innovation serving as a consultant to industry players as they develop their clinical trial and data strategies-Continued alliance management for executed programs to ensure and monitor client satisfaction as well as identify further areas of collaboration opportunities.-Other activities as they may be assigned.Education Experience Behavioral Competencies & Skills-8 years experience direct selling into biopharma R&D with at least 5 years selling data products.-Bachelors degree.-Demonstrated ability to independently build relationships and execute deals across all levels within biopharma R&D and commercial teams at leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies.-Extensive experience with contracting proposalSOW writing and deal negotiation.-Entrepreneurial spirit and track record - experience selling in nascent industries and leading the growth of that industry.-Experience building strategic partnerships with organizations of varying size and stage preferably in the life sciences precision medicine industry.-Strategic thinker who possesses solid business judgement and the ability to identify and evaluate risk and opportunity at the scientific development and regulatory levels.-Able to work cross functionally and tightly manage a pre-deal process.-Strong network and proven track record in selling to the pharmaceutical industry.-Generous Curious & Humble.Travel RequirementsAt least 25 travel may be requiredPay InformationThe expected base salary range for this position is 180000 and 220000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience qualifications geographic location and other job-related factors permitted by law.
