Role Overview

Lead commercial sales for new BAS installations and system replacement projects. Build strong relationships with General Contractors and direct clients, win competitively bid work, and deliver accurate estimates that convert into successfully executed projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales and secure a strong project backlog for BAS installations and replacements
• Build and maintain relationships with GCs, building owners, and facility managers
• Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities; manage a healthy pipeline
• Prepare accurate estimates and bids for projects ranging from $50K to $2M+
• Interpret mechanical, electrical, and control drawings, sequences of operations, and BAS specifications
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth transitions from sales to execution
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating technical solutions into clear commercial value
• Maintain accurate records of opportunities, bids, and client interactions

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of experience in commercial BAS sales, estimating, or project management
• Hands-on estimator familiar with takeoffs, I/O point counts, labor hour analysis, and integration complexity
• Deep knowledge of commercial BAS platforms (e.g., Niagara/Tridium, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Siemens, Distech, Reliable Controls, or equivalent)
• Understanding of HVAC integration with mechanical systems, including RTUs, air handlers, VAVs, boilers, and chillers
• Proven track record winning subcontracts through competitive bids and negotiated relationships
• Platform-agnostic and able to spec, price, and sell across multiple BAS ecosystems
• Self-directed, high-output professional capable of working independently
