    Director of APNT Solutions
    Location: Manassas, VA (Hybrid)
    Reports To: President

    Position Summary
    NAL Technologies is seeking a strategic and customer-focused Director of APNT Solutions to lead the growth and market expansion of the company's Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing (APNT) business area.
    This role serves as the primary business owner for NAL's APNT solutions, driving product strategy, customer engagement, market development, and cross-functional execution from concept through market adoption.
    The Director of APNT Solutions works across Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Executive Leadership to define product strategy, identify emerging market opportunities, develop product roadmaps, and ensure successful execution of growth initiatives.
    This role requires a unique combination of technical understanding, market insight, strategic thinking, and customer engagement. The successful candidate will possess deep knowledge of navigation technologies, GNSS resilience, and the evolving APNT ecosystem while serving as a trusted advisor to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
    Key Responsibilities
    Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
    • Own the strategic direction of NAL's APNT product portfolio.
    • Develop and maintain multi-year product roadmaps aligned with corporate growth objectives.
    • Define product vision, market positioning, pricing strategy, and lifecycle management.
    • Prioritize investments based on customer needs, competitive dynamics, and return on investment.
    • Translate customer feedback into product requirements and engineering priorities.
    • Lead product launch planning and commercialization activities.
    Customer Engagement & Business Development
    • Meet directly with government, defense, commercial, and international customers to understand operational challenges and emerging requirements.
    • Support capture activities by developing differentiated solution strategies.
    • Participate in executive customer briefings, product demonstrations, trade shows, and industry conferences.
    • Build trusted relationships with key customers, partners, distributors, and system integrators.
    • Represent NAL as a thought leader in APNT technologies.
    Market Strategy & Growth
    • Develop and execute strategies to expand NAL's presence within existing and adjacent APNT markets.
    • Conduct competitive intelligence and market analysis across GNSS, LEO-PNT, resilient timing, inertial navigation, and alternative PNT technologies.
    • Identify emerging market opportunities and recommend investment priorities.
    • Develop Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP), market segmentation strategies, and value propositions.
    • Evaluate partnerships, technology alliances, and adjacent market expansion opportunities.
    Product Ownership
    • Own product requirements from concept through production.
    • Develop business cases for new products and enhancements.
    • Prioritize engineering development projects based on market value and alignment to corporate objectives.
    • Participate in product design reviews and technical trade studies.
    • Ensure products meet customer expectations and business objectives.
    Marketing Leadership
    Partner with Marketing to:
    • Develop product messaging
    • Create value propositions
    • Publish technical content
    • Produce sales enablement materials
    • Support website content
    • Launch new products
    • Develop thought leadership campaigns
    • Produce white papers and technical presentations
    Sales Enablement
    Partner with Sales to:
    • Train sales teams on products and competitive positioning.
    • Develop product demonstrations.
    • Support proposal development.
    • Participate in customer presentations.
    • Assist with pricing strategies.
    Competitive Intelligence
    Maintain awareness of evolving APNT technologies including:
    • Alternative PNT architectures
    • LEO-based PNT
    • Resilient timing technologies
    • GNSS modernization
    • Anti-jam and anti-spoofing solutions
    • Navigation integrity technologies
    • Commercial and defense market trends
    Develop competitive assessments and strategic recommendations.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline.
    • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in product management, product strategy, business development, systems engineering, or related leadership roles.
    • Experience working with navigation, timing, communications, aerospace, defense, or satellite technologies.
    • Demonstrated success launching and growing technology products.
    • Experience working directly with government and commercial customers.
    • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 30%).

    Preferred
    • Master's degree (Engineering, MBA, or related field).
    • Experience with APNT technologies.
    • Experience with GNSS, inertial navigation, satellite communications, or resilient timing.
    • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and government contracting.
    • Experience working with international distributors and channel partners.
    • Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one.
