    New Hope of Indiana is looking for a Director of Advancement to lead our fundraising, marketing, and volunteer engagement strategy — and to help us tell the story of the incredible people we serve.

    What You'll Be Doing

    As a member of our senior leadership team, you'll bring your expertise to three connected areas of our advancement work:

    Leadership

    • Develop and execute our annual fundraising strategy and marketing/external relations plan, aligned with our budget and strategic plan — including our signature Silver Cup Celebration
    • Supervise and support our Development Manager and Communications and Engagement Specialist
    • Sit on the executive team and attend leadership and board meetings as needed
    • Provide staff support to our Development, Marketing, and Silver Cup Celebration board committees
    • Lead with integrity, balancing competing priorities through ethical decision-making

    Fundraising

    • Meet annual fundraising goals by identifying, soliciting, and retaining donors, grants, and financial resources
    • Research, write, and submit grant applications to foundations and corporations, partnering with our finance team on accurate tracking and reporting
    • Build and lead a meaningful donor recognition program
    • Keep our Network for Good database accurate and current
    • Cultivate strong relationships with donors at every level through a thoughtful stewardship plan
    • Stay current on ethical, legal fundraising best practices

    Marketing

    • Keep our community informed and engaged with regular updates on New Hope's work
    • Share the New Hope story across print, video, online, and our website
    • Oversee the development and distribution of marketing and communications materials
    • Help build and sustain a robust volunteer program

    What You Bring

    Required:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 5+ years of experience in nonprofit business development, grant writing, or fundraising
    • 3+ years in a management role
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and supervisory skills
    • Sound judgment across leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, financial, business writing, and presentation skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and familiarity with Network for Good or a similar database
    • A valid Indiana Operator's License, meeting New Hope's driving record guidelines

    Nice to Have:

    • Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) credential
    • Experience working with an agency serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, or a personal connection to the disability community
    • Prior experience as an executive team member
