Overview

Job Summary:

The Director of Admissions provides strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of student recruitment, admissions, matriculation, and enrollment. This role is responsible for developing, designing, and implementing comprehensive enrollment management and recruitment strategies that support the University's goals and objectives. The Director oversees admissions policies and processes, supervises the application lifecycle, and leverages customer relationship management strategies to enhance prospective student engagement. As a key member of University committees, the Director analyzes and reports recruitment data and outcomes to inform decision-making and ensure institutional effectiveness. The Director is under the general direction of the Vice President of Enrollment Management & Student Affairs. Responsible for one shift, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week. Incumbents are subject to hours beyond the normal workday.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development and execution of a comprehensive, data-informed recruitment strategy to support the University's undergraduate and designated graduate enrollment goals.
  • Provides strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for all designated recruitment operations, cultivating a high-performing team through effective hiring, supervision, and professional development of administrative, professional, student, and support staff.
  • Maintains professional expertise and industry awareness through ongoing engagement in professional development, including research, networking, conferences, and training aligned with priorities or as required.
  • Oversees the planning, development, and management of the departmental budget, ensuring the effective and efficient use of institutional resources in support of enrollment objectives.
  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets admissions and enrollment data to inform both short-term initiatives and long-term strategic planning.
  • Designs and implements data-driven recruitment strategies by leveraging multiple data sources to assess student and market trends, and the University's competitive position.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Marketing and Alumni Affairs to develop targeted marketing materials and/or campaigns that enhance and strengthen recruitment efforts.
  • Serves as the department's data governance subject matter expert, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data through established definitions, processes, and quality control standards.
  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned or directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Higher Education Administration, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of progressive experience in admissions, enrollment management, or related higher education operations.
  • Three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with admissions CRM systems and student information systems.

Desired Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Seven (7) years of progressive experience in admissions, enrollment management, or related higher education operations, of which at least three (3) years must include supervisory or managerial experience in admissions, enrollment management, or a higher education environment.
  • Proven success developing and implementing strategic recruitment and enrollment initiatives.
  • Experience with data analysis, forecasting, and enrollment reporting.
