    Description

    Our Director of Admission is responsible for managing the reputation and brand within the
    local community, while also overseeing the admissions process and support the community’s census growth. This
    position focuses on the review of the clinical and financial eligibility of incoming residents; coordinate admissions
    logistics (room readiness, transportation, welcoming experience, etc.) and ensure smooth and timely resident
    transitions. And, reputation curation, community marketing, and positioning the community positively.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    ▪ Meet budget census goals and quality payer mix.
    ▪ Meet goals of marketing appointments as determined by Regional Marketing Director. Assists with an
    explanation of rates, charges, and services.
    ▪ Develop relationships and call on referral sources in person.
    ▪ Communicates daily with the Business Office to complete financial evaluations for potential residents and
    payment options including but not limited to printing of the Common Working File, printing Medicaid Eligibility,
    and identifying the pay status with the resident/representative prior to admitting the resident.
    ▪ Maintains working knowledge of facility practices related to all pay status types such as other insurances,
    Medicare A, Medicaid, Private, Veteran’s Administration contracts, and hospital contracts, etc.
    ▪ Collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary team, family members, hospitals and community, etc. in a
    manner that resolves issues and improves the admissions process.
    ▪ Manage the referral and inquiry process by tracking all referrals and inquiries.
    ▪ Convert referrals into admissions timely.
    ▪ Ensure that the back-up team is in place so that external marketing can be done.
    ▪ Conduct tours of the facility.
    ▪ Develop a tour script so that department heads and back-up can tour in your absence.
    ▪ Complete and maintain all required reports on time.
    ▪ Manages and conducts weekly marketing and admissions meetings with various IDT members and when
    necessary, home office consultants and senior leadership.
    ▪ Complete Quarterly Marketing/Admissions Plan.
    ▪ Knowledge of state and federal regulations that pertain to admissions and marketing.
    ▪ Ability to work with individuals at all levels within the organization and with outside contacts.
    ▪ Estimating potential costs, insurance coverage, and financial arrangements for residents.
    ▪ Collaboration - work closely with other departments to support strategic initiatives and provide financial
    marketing and admission insights for decision-making of admissions.
    ▪ Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures including but not limited to those
    within the Compliance and Ethics Program, Standard/Code of Conduct, Federal False Claims Act and HIPPA.
    ▪ Other duties as assigned within scope of practice and abilities.
    PHYSICAL AND ENVIROMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
    ▪ Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
    ▪ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    ▪ Ability to utilize collaborative skills when making decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
    ▪ Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/ care team
    members and the public.
    ▪ Must have patience, tact, and willingness to deal with challenging residents, family and staff.
    ▪ Position requires the ability to work with frequent interruptions.
    ▪ Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends, holidays when necessary.
    ▪ Must be able to drive and travel; and may require some overnight travel for trainings, meetings and events.
    ▪ Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, perform overhead lifting and perform other common physical movements
    as needed for the position.

    EDUCATION/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
    ▪ High school education required, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
    ▪ One to two years’ experience in long-term care and one to two years’ experience in marketing/admissions.
    ▪ Must hold a valid driver’s license
