We are seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Director of Activations to lead high-impact initiatives that drive participation, cultural engagement, and long-term movement growth around key social issues.
This role sits within Stand Together’s Activations capability, which turns priority initiatives into scalable opportunities for people to participate and take meaningful action. The Director of Activations will serve as the day-to-day leader and integrator of complex initiatives, translating activation strategy into coordinated execution and aligning internal teams, external partners, platforms, and workstreams around shared goals and measurable outcomes.
This role may be especially well suited to someone who has operated as an executive producer, integrated producer, initiative lead, or similar cross-functional leader who can take an ambitious idea, understand what is required to bring it to life, and orchestrate the right people and capabilities to deliver it.
How You Will Contribute
- Translate activation strategy into coordinated execution, leading complex initiatives through launch, optimization, and measurable outcomes.
- Build clear execution plans, participation pathways, workstreams, decision points, timelines, and success measures.
- Coordinate teams across partnerships, media, creative, marketing, technology, events, consumer insights, and other capabilities.
- Create alignment across internal stakeholders and external partners, resolving obstacles and making tradeoffs to keep work moving.
- Integrate brands, sports and entertainment properties, creators, nonprofits, platforms, and other partners into broader activation efforts.
- Help develop participation models that make it easy and meaningful for people to take action repeatedly, strengthening engagement and movement growth over time.
- Help build and improve the platforms, partnerships, and operating models that allow activations to scale across issues and audiences.
- Define and monitor performance tied to participation, repeat engagement, and overall activation impact.
What You Will Bring
- 7+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution and measurable results.
- Experience in areas such as executive or integrated production, strategic initiatives, sports and entertainment, consumer brands, media, partnerships, or other highly collaborative environments.
- A strong producer mindset with the ability to connect strategy, creative, partnerships, operations, technology, and audience engagement without needing to be the functional expert in each.
- Proven ability to bring ambitious ideas to life by coordinating multiple teams, partners, vendors, platforms, and workstreams.
- Strong judgment and stakeholder leadership, with the ability to create clarity, navigate ambiguity, and drive decisions across teams.
- Experience with nationally recognized consumer brands, sports or entertainment properties, media companies, cultural organizations, or other high-visibility partners is a plus.
- Ability to move comfortably between big-picture strategy and detailed execution.

$140,000 - $185,000 a year
For this role, the anticipated base salary range is $140,000–$185,000 per year. This role may also be eligible for additional bonus compensation designed to align total compensation with an employee’s overall contribution to the organization.

Compensation decisions are informed by a variety of factors, including relevant experience, capabilities, demonstrated skills, role responsibilities, and expected contribution. Consistent with this approach, base salary may vary within or outside of the anticipated range based on these considerations.
