Build for scale: As we enter new states, you’ll design the accounting, payroll, and compliance systems that support a growing multi-state footprint.
Broad, strategic scope: The role goes beyond close and reporting into payroll, HRIS, benefits, and regulatory compliance, so you’ll get unusual breadth and visibility.
Food meets tech: You’ll work where hospitality meets data, in one of the most dynamic corners of the restaurant industry.
Backed for growth: We have strong institutional investor support and an ambitious expansion roadmap.
Flexibility: The role is remote, with unlimited PTO.

Run the monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
Own preparation, validation, and analysis of the financial statements.
Deliver timely reporting and variance analysis, and give leadership clear insight into performance.

Payroll & People Systems
Lead payroll across 8+ states, including wage calculations, withholdings, and compliance.
Handle payroll tax registrations and filings as we enter new states.
Oversee the HRIS, including data integrity, onboarding and offboarding workflows, and org changes.
Partner with HR on benefits enrollment, deductions, and reporting.
Compliance
Own the compliance function across all operating locations, including business licenses, health and operating permits, staff certifications, and sales tax registrations.
Make sure no recurring regulatory obligation lapses in any jurisdiction.
Process & Partnership
Find inefficiencies and build scalable accounting, payroll, and compliance processes.
Be the go-to resource for leadership, managers, and employees on accounting, payroll, and compliance questions.

Paid parental leave
I took out the company name and the list of specific states, since those are the most traceable details, and changed “kitchen locations” and “food handler certifications” to more general terms. The exact salary range can also point back to the original post. If that’s a concern, round it, for example to $140K–$170K+, or drop it if you’re not in a pay-transparency state for this posting.
