We're seeking an accomplished, results-driven nursing leader to work closely with the Health Care System (HCS) VP of Nursing Operations to provide oversight of Centralized Nursing Operations and to drive implementation of key strategic nursing initiatives. In this role, you'll provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and mentorship while helping shape the future of nursing operations within the health system. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring high-quality patient care and advancing excellence of nursing care across the system.
Qualified candidates will bring a minimum of seven years of progressive inpatient hospital nursing leadership experience. Experience managing teams in a variety of patient care settings is ideal. Success in this position requires initiative, sound judgment, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships while collaborating effectively with stakeholders at every level of the organization.

Summary:
The HCS Director Nursing Operations ensures the effective coordination of centralized nursing operations to optimize patient care, staffing efficiency, and operational performance across the health system, along with growth and expansion of centralized monitoring. This position will report to the HCS VP Nursing Operations, and will be responsible for driving the executive's strategic nursing initiatives forward, including communicating and managing deliverables across the business.

Education Requirements:
Masters degree in nursing or equivalent required
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Must have NC RN licensure. Nursing specialty certification by exam or portfolio.
Professional Experience Requirements:
Seven (7) years of progress hospital leadership experience.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
