Director Nursing Critical Care - ICU (Days)

The Director of Nursing for Critical Care is a Registered Nurse prepared through appropriate education, training, expertise and clinical competency to assure effective leadership of nursing services and operations. Responsibilities include working with the CNE CNO and other members of the Senior team and DYAD leadership in providing vision, setting goals, solving problems, promoting organizational development, serving as a leader in quality improvement efforts and implementation of programs and services, and maintaining positive major relationships with members of the medical staff, patients and families, staff, administrative team, other departments, and vendors. Full management responsibility for supervision of nursing unit personnel including quality and quantity of work, costs, and resources for health system facilities. Has one or more intermediate supervisors or managers.
