Job Description:
WHAT - Summary & Purpose of the Position
Reporting to the Head of Hematology, the Director, Medical Affairs, is responsible for leading and overseeing key medical affairs activities related to the US oncology portfolio. This role will contribute to the U.S. medical strategy for hematology assets currently in development. While primarily focused on myelofibrosis, the role may also support other indications including AML as needed. This role serves as a primary medical and scientific leader for the therapeutic area, providing guidance to internal and external stakeholders and ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams.
The Director leads the development and execution of the US Medical Affairs strategy and overall medical plan for myelofibrosis. Key responsibilities include leading Medical Strategic Team activities, advisory board planning and execution, and cross functional collaboration to ensure integration of medical strategies. Responsibilities include oversight of the medical review of non-promotional and promotional content, ensuring accurate, timely responses to medical information requests (in collaboration with Medical Information), scientific communications materials including poster presentations and publications (in conjunction with the Publication/Medical Communications team), the design and medical monitoring of US-based clinical studies including assessing investigator sponsored study requests, and the review of educational grants.
The Director will work closely with the Field Medical Directors and field Training, Insights, and Analytics Lead to guide field medical strategy, develop and manage relationships with key opinion and national and/or regional Thought leaders (TLs), and incorporate field insights into medical planning. This includes assessing investigator sponsored study requests, supporting internal and external training through knowledge transfer, and ensuring accurate, timely responses to medical information requests, to ensure customers are well-informed about Ipsen's Oncology products and therapeutic areas.
Key internal partners include US Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations teams, the Oncology commercial team, and global Oncology franchise medical personnel.

The annual base salary range for this position is $225,000-$300,000.
This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentives program as well as our long-term incentives program.

The pay range displayed above is the range of base pay compensation within which Ipsen expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting.
