The Lead IT Project Manager provides direction, oversight, and leadership to ensure the successful execution of all IT projects, adherence to best practices, project status reporting, and delivery of high-quality outcomes. This position possesses strong project management expertise and a passion for driving continuous improvement.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6 years of project management experience, including strategic planning experience and development of a project management framework.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven senior-level project management experience, including strategic planning experience and development of project management frameworks.
- Experience in higher education.
- Proficient in leveraging Jira for project management tracking and reporting.
- Experience in demand management or capacity planning.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Strong understanding of project reporting and metrics, ensuring that stakeholders are well-informed, decisions are data-driven, and projects stay on track.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, with experience in Agile, Waterfall and hybrid methodologies.
- Proficiency in project management software tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
- Experience in driving process improvements and implementing best practices in project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and issues and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Ability to thrive, adapt, and be flexible in a fast-paced dynamic work environment.
