    The Investor Relations team is part of the broader Finance organization at Schwab and serves as a critical bridge between the firm and the investment community. Reporting to Investor Relations leadership, the Director, Investor Relations plays a key role in helping communicate Schwab''s financial performance, strategic priorities, competitive positioning, and long-term growth opportunities to shareholders, analysts, and prospective investors.

    Investor Relations sits at the intersection of finance, strategy, capital markets, and communications. The team is responsible for developing and delivering clear, consistent, and credible messaging to the investment community while providing executive leadership with valuable insights regarding investor sentiment, valuation, shareholder composition, and market perceptions.

    As a key member of the Investor Relations team, the Director will lead critical workstreams supporting Schwab''s investor relations strategy, earnings process, shareholder engagement activities, executive communications, and market intelligence efforts. This role offers exposure to senior leadership, including the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Executive Council members, and the Board of Directors, while partnering closely across Finance, Treasury, Corporate Strategy, Corporate Affairs, Legal, Risk, and business leadership teams.

    This role can be temporarily based at our offices in New York City, Denver, Charlotte and San Francisco and will require relocation to our corporate headquarters in the Dallas/Fort Worth area within a reasonable time frame.

    What you have

    • Bachelor''s degree required; MBA, CFA, CPA, or other advanced degree/certification preferred.

    • 8+ years of progressive experience in Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Equity Research, Corporate Strategy, Capital Markets, Financial Communications, or a related field.

    • Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, capital markets, and public company financial communications.

    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop insights from complex and unstructured information.

    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial and strategic concepts into clear and compelling messages for a variety of audiences.

    • Experience developing presentations, executive communications, earnings materials, Board-level reporting, or external-facing financial communications.

    • Strong executive presence and ability to interact effectively with senior leaders, investors, analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders.

    • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

    • Proven ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.

    • Experience within financial services, banking, wealth management, brokerage, asset management, or other regulated industries preferred.

    • Intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, attention to detail, accountability, and a strong commitment to excellence.

    What you''ll do:

    Investor Relations Strategy & Communications

    • Partner with Investor Relations leadership to develop and execute Schwab''s investor relations strategy and external communications program.

    • Lead the preparation of key Investor Relations deliverables, including quarterly earnings materials, business update presentations, annual stockholder meeting materials, earnings support documentation, investor presentations, and executive briefing materials.

    • Support the development of clear, compelling, and accurate narratives regarding Schwab''s financial performance, strategic priorities, capital position, competitive advantages, and growth opportunities.

    • Help coordinate messaging across Finance, Corporate Affairs, Legal, Treasury, and business partners to ensure consistency and alignment with enterprise priorities.

    • Contribute to the preparation of executive and Board-level materials related to investor engagement, shareholder feedback, valuation trends, and market developments.

    Investor & Analyst Engagement

    • Develop and maintain relationships with members of the investment community, including institutional investors and sell-side analysts.

    • Support investor meetings, conferences, roadshows, and other engagement activities by preparing materials, analysis, and executive briefing documents.

    • Participate in discussions with investors and analysts, serving as a knowledgeable representative of Schwab''s strategy, financial model, and business performance.

    • Assist in responding to investor and analyst inquiries by partnering with internal subject matter experts to ensure accurate and timely information.

    • Coordinate investor targeting efforts and shareholder engagement strategies that support long-term shareholder value creation.

    Market Intelligence & Strategic Analysis

    • Lead analyses related to institutional ownership, shareholder composition, investor sentiment, peer benchmarking, valuation trends, and analyst perspectives.

    • Provide recurring and ad hoc reporting to senior management and the Board regarding key market developments, shareholder activity, and external perceptions of Schwab.

    • Monitor market trends, competitive developments, industry events, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors that may impact Schwab''s business or investor sentiment.

    • Synthesize complex financial, strategic, and market information into actionable insights for senior leadership.

    • Support the development of market intelligence frameworks and analytical tools that enhance the effectiveness of the Investor Relations function.

    Cross-Functional Leadership

    • Partner closely with Enterprise Finance, Treasury, Corporate Strategy, Corporate Affairs, Legal, Risk, and business leadership teams to gather, validate, and communicate critical information.

    • Drive complex, cross-functional workstreams supporting earnings preparation, investor communications, public disclosures, and strategic initiatives.

    • Build strong relationships throughout the organization to develop a deep understanding of Schwab''s business model, financial performance, strategic priorities, and operational execution.

    • Help ensure Investor Relations processes and activities adhere to all applicable disclosure requirements and regulatory expectations.

    • Identify opportunities to improve team processes, reporting capabilities, communication effectiveness, and operational efficiency.

    Team & Organizational Impact

    • Manage multiple high-priority workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced, highly visible environment.

    • Mentor and develop junior team members while promoting strong analytical rigor, accountability, and collaboration.

    • Help strengthen the Investor Relations function through continuous process improvement, enhanced market intelligence capabilities, and scalable operating practices.

    • Serve as a trusted partner to Investor Relations leadership and senior executives by delivering thoughtful analysis, sound judgment, and execution excellence.

    In addition to the salary range, this position is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
