• PLEASE READ FULL JOB DESCRIPTION LINKED IN THIS POST* THE SCHOOL The Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) is located on the campus of California State University, Los Angeles (Cal State LA) and operates under the direction of the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE). Founded in 1985, LACHSA is a tuition-free public high school serving approximately 600 students from throughout Los Angeles County. Nationally recognized for excellence in arts education, LACHSA provides a rigorous college preparatory curriculum integrated with conservatory-style arts instruction. Students specialize in one of five disciplines-Cinematic Arts, Dance, Music, Theatre, or Visual Arts-and graduate prepared for higher education, professional careers in the arts, and leadership in creative industries. THE POSITION Under the direction of the Principal/Director III, the Director I - Arts Programs, Advancement, and Strategic Partnerships provides strategic leadership to advance the mission, visibility, and long-term sustainability of the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA). The Director serves as a member of the school s administrative leadership team and provides leadership in arts program development, strategic partnerships, advancement initiatives, community engagement, external relations, and resource development. Working collaboratively with Arts Department Chairs, school leadership, GLAEF, the LACHSA Foundation, Cal State LA, higher education institutions, arts organizations, philanthropic partners, alumni, families, and community stakeholders, the Director expands opportunities that enhance student success and strengthen LACHSA s position as one of the nation s premier public arts high schools. The Director supervises Arts Department Chairs and supports the planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of LACHSA s conservatory-style arts programs and related public-facing initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS Education: A Master's degree in education, performing arts, or similar field from an institution of higher learning accredited by one of the six regional accreditation associations as recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE Must posses all of the following: • A Single Subject or Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with a full English Learner Authorization (CLAD / BCLAD or equivalent required). • Administrative Services Credential
