Job Summary:
The Crane Aerospace & Electronics Fluid Management Solution HR Director provides strategic and operational leadership for the Human Resources function across two facilities, one in Elyria, OH and one in Auburn, CA, ensuring a high‑performing, engaged, and inclusive workforce. This role oversees all core HR disciplines-including labor and employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training and development, and HR compliance. The HR Director partners closely with senior leadership to shape organizational culture, support business goals, and deliver HR programs and practices that enable employees and leaders to thrive.
Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: 10 years' progressive experience in Human Resources, demonstrating increasing responsibility with at least 3+ years' experience as a manager, 3+ years in a Union and experience in manufacturing. Proven capability to lead HR initiatives and influence leadership at an executive level.
Knowledge: Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures; Current HR policies and practices. Knowledge of local and federal labor laws, collective bargaining, grievance handling, and contract administration.
Skills/Abilities:
Strong understanding of the organization's culture and ability to build trusting relationships with leaders. Experience partnering with senior leadership to drive strategy.
A track record of delivering results internally.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence in a complex environment
Strong leadership capability.
Strategic mindset.
Demonstrated success leading key HR programs.
Ability to influence executive leadership.
Education/Certification: BA Degree in applicable field
