The Opportunity
Genmab is creating the Director, Global Commercialization, Advanced Analytics & AI role to build and govern a cohesive AI-enabled analytics capability within the Business Intelligence & Analytics function. This is a foundational role at a pivotal moment: Genmab's commercial portfolio is growing in complexity, the demand for faster and more confident decision-making is accelerating, and the opportunity to embed artificial intelligence into commercial operations has never been more actionable.
The Director, Advanced Analytics & AI will operate as an individual contributor with significant cross-functional influence, serving as the internal architect of Genmab's advanced analytics and AI capability within BI&A. The role spans both building - standing up AI tools, analytics frameworks, and data products - and governing - establishing standards, oversight structures, and responsible AI practices that ensure consistent, high-quality output across forecasting, competitive intelligence, primary market research, and commercial analytics.
This is not a support function. The Director, Global Commercialization, Advanced Analytics & AI will shape how Genmab's commercial teams make decisions, allocate resources, and measure performance - with AI and advanced analytics as the enabling mechanism.
Work arrangement:This role offers flexibility to work away from the office for 20%-40% of a typical schedule. Employees may use this work schedule in increments of single days or multiple consecutive days, provided it does not exceed 40% within a 60-day period, and is approved by the hiring manager.
Key Responsibilities:
AI Capability Build and Deployment
Governance and Responsible AI
Commercial Analytics and Decision Support
Cross-Functional Influence and Stakeholder Partnership
Ideal Candidate Profile
The Director, Global Commercialization, Advanced Analytics & AI will be a rare combination of analytical depth, AI fluency, and commercial acumen. The successful candidate will have the intellectual credibility to earn trust among senior analytics professionals and the communication skills to make AI accessible and actionable for commercial leaders who are not technical by background.
This individual thrives in a build environment - energized by the challenge of creating something new, comfortable with ambiguity, and capable of driving progress without a large team or pre-existing infrastructure. They bring a governance mindset alongside a builder's instinct, understanding that sustainable AI capability requires rigor, documentation, and oversight - not just deployment speed.
Experience and Qualifications:
Leadership Capabilities
Strategic Thinking and Vision- Defines a clear long-term vision for advanced analytics and AI within BI&A; anticipates where AI will create the greatest commercial value and builds toward it systematically.
Influence Without Authority- Builds credibility through expertise and demonstrated results; navigates a matrixed organization to align stakeholders and drive adoption without formal reporting relationships.
Commercial Judgment- Understands what commercial leaders need to make better decisions and prioritizes AI investments accordingly - not technology for its own sake, but capability that drives measurable business impact.
Governance and Accountability- Holds a high bar for quality, consistency, and responsible use; builds systems and standards that sustain performance over time rather than optimizing for short-term output.
Communication and Simplification- Translates technical complexity into clear business language; makes AI legible and approachable for commercial partners while maintaining analytical rigor.
