Position Summary
The Front of House Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the guest-facing operations of Chick-fil-A Hays, including the dining room, front counter, and drive-thru. This leader ensures every guest enjoys a warm, efficient, and memorable experience while maintaining operational excellence and team alignment.
The FOH Manager leads with care and clarity, developing people, executing systems, and championing the
Chick-fil-A Hays culture. As a key member of the leadership team, this individual represents the Operator during shifts and helps drive results through exceptional service, team development, and accountability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Culture
- Lead, coach, and inspire the Front of House team to deliver outstanding hospitality.
- Model Chick-fil-A Hays’s Serve | Develop | Inspire leadership philosophy daily.
- Build a positive, disciplined, and team-oriented culture rooted in care and excellence.
- Communicate expectations clearly and hold team members accountable with grace and consistency.
- Address conflict quickly and constructively, ensuring unity and professionalism.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily FOH operations: dining room, front counter, drive-thru, and carry-out.
- Ensure speed of service, order accuracy, and cleanliness meet Chick-fil-A brand standards.
- Execute opening, mid, and closing procedures with excellence and consistency.
- Manage shift execution, including team positioning, role assignments, and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Oversee cash handling, register balancing, and daily financial reconciliation.
- Track performance metrics and communicate insights to the leadership team for continuous improvement.
Guest Experience
- Ensure every guest interaction reflects care, attentiveness, and excellence.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and with genuine empathy.
- Lead the team in delivering “Second Mile Service”, exceeding expectations at every opportunity.
- Champion an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality that turns first-time guests into lifelong raving fans.
Team Development
- Recruit along with Talent/Training Director, train, and onboard new FOH team members in alignment
- with restaurant standards.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, development conversations, and performance reviews.
- Identify and nurture emerging leaders, creating clear growth paths within the organization.
- Recognize achievements, celebrate milestones, and build a sense of belonging and purpose.
Food Quality & Safety
- Ensure all food meets Chick-fil-A’s gold standard for taste, temperature, and presentation.
- Uphold all HACCP and ServSafe guidelines, maintaining accurate logs and documentation.
- Lead regular kitchen inspections and audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Manage product rotation, labeling, and storage procedures with excellence.
- Proactively address potential issues before they impact food quality or safety.
Additional Expectations
- Demonstrates flexibility by performing other duties as assigned to support operations and team success.
- Must be able to safely lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Maintains consistent and reliable attendance with dependable transportation.
- Upholds Chick-fil-A Hays’s standards of excellence, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions.

- Proven leadership experience in restaurant or hospitality management
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to lead in a fast-paced environment.
- Financial acumen and confidence in managing shift-level cash handling.
- Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
