JOB TITLE: Director of FP&A

COMPENSATION: $200,000 to $260,000 Base + Bonus
Description
Currently representing a consumer lending fintech based out in Jersey City that is looking to hire a Director to their Finance team.
As the Director of FP&A, you'll manage a team of four, and report directly to the CFO. This role is crucial in the overseeing of financial functions, distributing guidance, and shaping both the growth and future alike of the company. You will also be tasked with framing strategic pathways for value creation, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the company's financial planning processes, including annual budgeting, long-term planning, and ongoing forecast updates
- Develop and manage robust financial models centered on unit economics, portfolio performance, and growth trajectory
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership to assess strategic opportunities, product launches, and expansion initiatives
- Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators across credit metrics, acquisition efficiency, yield, and overall profitability
- Support the company's capital strategy, including debt facilities, financing structures, and investor communication
- Leverage cohort analysis and repayment data to guide underwriting decisions and pricing strategy
- Lead scenario planning and stress testing efforts to inform executive and board-level decisions
- Partner cross-functionally with Credit, Product, Risk, and Operations to align financial insights with business execution
- Produce and deliver high-quality materials for the board of directors, lenders, and investors
Qualifications
- 8-12+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or investment banking
- Background in consumer lending, BNPL, fintech, or specialty finance strongly preferred
- Solid expertise in credit products, loan performance dynamics, and financing structures
- Advanced financial modeling capabilities, including operating models and scenario analysis
- Demonstrated success operating in high-growth, fast-paced environments
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior leadership
