Description

Overview: The Director of the Financial Clearance Center (HB/PB) provides enterprise-wide leadership over centralized financial clearance activities, including benefits/eligibility verification, authorization & pre-certification, medical necessity validation, patient liability estimation, and financial counseling and care coverage prior to time of service. This leader is accountable for establishing, operationalizing, running, and continuously improving the Financial Clearance Center operating model defined by enterprise revenue cycle leadership, strengthening payor performance, reducing avoidable denials and day-of-service disruption, and delivering timely, accurate financial guidance to patients. The Director partners with Scheduling & Pre-Service, On-Site Registration, UM, Clinical Operations, PFS, RI, Technology/Analytics, and strategic business partners team to streamline workflows, deploy automation, and drive consistent pre-service outcomes that support revenue capture, compliance, and enterprise standardization. Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of revenue cycle leadership experience.

License/Certification/Registration: Not required.

• Demonstrated enterprise operational leadership experience.

  • Technology adoption and utilization
  • Process standardization and continuous improvement

• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership capabilities with a focus on operational excellence and strategic execution.
