POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director-Branch Operations, the Branch Facility Director is responsible for the management and administration of all daily custodial and maintenance activities related to the cleaning, repair and maintenance of the assigned branch. Supervises minor contracted work, custodial, and maintenance staff in maintaining all facility support systems including mechanical, swimming pool, and exercise equipment. Responsible for maintaining physical property and site to the highest standards of cleanliness and repair.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
a. Manage and refine custodial cleaning procedures and schedules with contracted service providers or internal staff to provide optimum facility cleanliness of interior and exterior of all buildings; minimize cleaning equipment maintenance and repair costs. Perform periodical custodial services as needed.
b. Manage and refine preventative maintenance and repair program for equipment, facility systems and components to minimize breakdowns and reduce energy costs. Perform maintenance services as required.
c. Thoroughly inspect each facility daily checking for cleanliness and good repair of equipment and facility.
d. Keep accurate and complete records of facility energy use as well as systems and equipment repairs.
e. Order supplies and materials related to custodial and pool operations and maintenance and repair of equipment and the facility.
f. Maintain an inventory system for cleaning and maintenance supplies and equipment.
g. Repair all breakdowns, damage, or vandalism immediately, when possible, and develop systems to ensure others are repaired within 24 hours unless delay is unavoidable.
h. Maintain swimming pools, shower rooms, and restrooms as required by applicable County, State, and Federal Health regulations and policies.
l. Ability to be on call and work a flexible schedule as evenings, weekends, split shifts, and holiday work is required at times to maintain, repair, clean or improve facilities and equipment.
a. Recruit, hire, orient, coach, mentor, supervise and evaluate staff.
b. Ensure opportunities are available for staff training and staff receive mandatory training for required systems or equipment.
c. Model relationship-building skills in all interactions. Maintains regular, clear, and concise communication within area of responsibility.
d. Provide training to all branch staff on correct use and storage of cleaning and pool chemicals and use of PPE in accordance with applicable YMCA, County, State, and Federal policies and regulations.
e. Ensure Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are kept current at all times in compliance with all OSHA and L&I requirements.
f. Ensure all employees will be trained and evaluated regarding safe work habits and safety in the workplace on a regular basis.
g. Responsible for organizing and administering Safety Committee for three branch locations.
h. Provide content and administer training for Branch Safety/Emergency training.
a. Assist the Executive Director in annual budget development.
b. Oversee monthly budget monitoring, operational adjustments and year-end projections.
c. Be accountable for a balanced operations budget for assigned Facility Department.
a. Provide leadership for and participate in the Annual Campaign.
a. Serve as a contributing member of the YMCA Branch Management Team (BMT) and assist with other Association projects as requested.
