Job Summary
The ERP Director is responsible for the overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts for the financial system (Oracle Cloud Financials), and works in a highly collaborative, cross-functional Agile environment. This role will be responsible for the functional solution design and application configuration ensuring compliance with the defined design standards. As a Director, this role is expected to lead ERP IT team.
This position will establish and implement project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope, adhere to high quality standards, and meet customer expectations. This position requires extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies, tools, techniques, resource management practices, and change management techniques. This role is also technical, requiring a mixture of architectural knowledge, technical leadership, operational expertise in a cloud setting, as well as the ability to communicate plans, manage risks, and deliver to schedule.
Essential Job Functions:
Lead the ERP IT team, develop and manage project plan and resources
Lead, coach, educate, lead the team in applying concepts and principles and staying focused on quality, predictability, flow and velocity of development
Design, build, and implement advanced functional and technical solutions which meet desired business, functional and non-functional requirements
Actively participate in phases of system implementation including functional and technical design, system design and development, testing and roll-out and support
Assist Configuration team in translating the functional specifications into design specifications and work with the team to obtain solution design approval
Ensure the solution design is consistent with ERP framework and work to take custom requests and convert into reusable configuration for multi-customer usage
Perform ERP configuration in accordance with the approved solution design
Follow industry standards related to software development lifecycle and software quality assurance practices and methodologies to ensure quality of project deliverables and technical solutions
Contribute to the project testing strategy and test plan generation. Support functional testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing providing root cause analysis and timely defect resolution.
Follow through with commitments and assume additional responsibilities without being asked
Partner with internal, external and business partners to support the ERP application
Lead technology activities in support of month and quarter-end financial processes
Identify new features in quarterly upgrades to be assessed and implemented for Financials solution
Partner with other application Product Owners to ensure consistency in solutions and adherence to best practices for architecture
Ensure the technical performance of all solutions within the platform. Oversee the entire line life cycle from strategic planning to effective project management of tactical activities
Regularly create service improvement plans - in terms of people, processes and technology - to improve a service
Duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems (or related degree), or equivalent experience.
10-12 years of ERP experience, including implementation of multiple Oracle financials cloud solutions within the last 5 years
10-12 years of configuration skills within the ERP product.
10-12 years of working knowledge of SQL on Oracle or another RDBMS.
More than 8 years of experience in requirements gathering and mapping out "to be" business processes
Should have experience in upgrading ERP application and applying application patches.
Ability to manage multiple priorities as well as flexibility to adapt to change with new systems and methods while working in a team environment.
Experience with Service Oriented Architecture in an enterprise environment
Experience with monitoring and alerting best practices, leveraging industry standard tools
Ability to work in a projects-based, team environment
Proven analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities as well as flexibility to adapt to change with new systems and methods while working in a team environment
Salary Range: $135,000 - $175,000/year base salary + bonus eligibility
This is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however, may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand
