This highly visible leadership role partners closely with underwriting, product, actuarial, claims, and field leadership teams to ensure sound underwriting practices, strong portfolio performance, andprofitablegrowth.You'llhelpshapeunderwritingstrategy,overseeunderwritinggovernanceandauthority,developtalent,andcreatethetoolsandtrainingthatempowerunderwriterstomakeexceptionaldecisions.

WhatYou'llDo

AsDirector,EnterpriseUnderwriting,youwill:

• Provideleadershipandoversightforenterprise-widecommercialunderwritingpracticesandexecution.
• Manageunderwritingauthoritystructuresandensureconsistencyinunderwritingdecision-makingacrosstheorganization.
• LeadtheQualityAssuranceUnderwritingProgram,drivingaccountability,consistency,andcontinuousimprovement.
• OverseetheStrategicUnderwritingreferralprocessandsupportcomplexunderwritingdecisionsacrossthefieldorganization.
• Partnerwithlineofbusinessleaderstoestablish,maintain,andcontinuouslyenhanceunderwritingguidelines,rules,andbestpractices.
• Championunderwritingeducationandprofessionaldevelopmentinitiatives,helpingbuildtechnicalexpertiseacrossunderwritingteams.
• Identifyskillgapsandcollaboratewithunderwritingeducationandfieldleadershiptodeveloptargetedtrainingsolutions.
• Analyzefinancialresults,losstrends,andportfolioperformancetosupportunderwritingstrategyandmarketresponsiveness.
• Supportproductenhancements,formrevisions,bookrollinitiatives,andotherunderwritingtransformationefforts.
• Leadkeyunderwritinginitiativesandserveasasubjectmatterexpertonenterpriseprojectsandcross-functionalbusinessinitiatives.
• Driveoperationalefficienciesthroughprocessimprovementsandeffectivemanagementofunderwritingresources.
• ServeasatrustedpartnerandcommunicationbridgebetweenEnterpriseUnderwritingandregionalunderwritingteams.

Youmaybeagreatfitifyouhave:

• 8+yearsofcommercialpropertyandcasualtyunderwritingexperience,includingprogressiveleadershipresponsibilities.
• 3+yearsofleadershipexperiencemanagingteams,programs,orstrategicunderwritinginitiatives.
• Strongknowledgeofcommercialunderwritingprinciples,portfoliomanagement,riskassessment,andunderwritingoperations.
• Experiencedrivingunderwritingquality,governance,training,oroperationalexcellenceprograms.
• Demonstratedabilitytoinfluencebusinessoutcomesthroughcollaborationandstrategicleadership.
• Stronganalyticalskillswiththeabilitytointerpretfinancialandlossperformancedata.
• Excellentcommunicationandrelationship-buildingskills.
• Bachelor'sdegreeinBusinessAdministration,Finance,RiskManagement,orarelatedfieldpreferred,orequivalentexperience.
• CPCU,CIC,orotheradvancedinsurancedesignationsstronglypreferred.

ThispositioniseligibleforparticipationintheCompany'sVariableCompensationBonusPlan.

Finalcompensationisbasedonfactorsincludingexperience,geographiclocation,education,professionaldesignations,scopeofresponsibilities,andoverallqualifications.
