    Our Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) organization supports Schwab's business goals through the delivery of complex initiatives spanning technology, operations, business continuity, and global team collaboration.

    As a Director, Enterprise Transformation Program Management, you will play a critical leadership role in driving one of Schwab's largest and most strategic enterprise transformation efforts. This role is initially focused on leading a large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation that will modernize business capabilities, strengthen operational efficiency, and deliver long-term business value across the firm.

    In this highly visible role, you will provide strategic oversight for a multi-year transformation program, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technology priorities, and measurable outcomes. You will partner closely with executive sponsors, business leaders, technology teams, implementation partners, and vendors to guide program execution, influence key decisions, and navigate complex organizational challenges. Your ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, manage competing priorities, and drive accountability across cross-functional teams will be critical to success.

    You will lead integrated planning, governance, risk management, financial oversight, organizational change efforts, and business readiness activities while fostering collaboration across Finance, Procurement, Data, Technology, Security, Integrations, Testing, and Operational Readiness teams. By leveraging your ERP implementation expertise, leadership capabilities, and strong business acumen, you will help deliver transformative outcomes that enhance business performance, improve operational effectiveness, and support Schwab's continued growth and innovation.

    What you have

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
    • 12+ years of program and project management experience leading large-scale, complex initiatives.
    • 7+ years of experience leading enterprise ERP implementations and transformational business programs.
    • Demonstrated experience delivering multi-million-dollar programs across multiple business functions and stakeholder groups.
    • Deep knowledge of ERP implementation lifecycle methodologies, including solution design, integration, data migration, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
    • Proven experience building trusted partnerships with executive leaders, senior stakeholders, implementation partners, and vendors.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence across organizational boundaries and drive execution in a matrixed environment.
    • Demonstrated experience managing program budgets, forecasts, governance frameworks, risk management activities, and program controls.
    • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational change leadership capabilities.
    • Experience leading global or geographically distributed teams and driving successful business outcomes through collaboration and accountability.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's degree (MBA or equivalent).
    • Experience with one or more leading ERP platforms, including SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud ERP, Workday, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
    • Strong understanding of finance, procurement, accounting, planning, reporting, data governance, and business process transformation.
    • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
    • PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification.
    • PMI-ACP, SAFe, or other Agile certifications.
    • Prosci Change Management Certification.
    • ERP platform certifications (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar).
    • Experience leading organizational change, business readiness, operational transition, and enterprise-wide adoption initiatives.
    • Proven ability to mentor leaders, develop high-performing teams, and promote a culture of continuous improvement and execution excellence.
