Responsible for the provision of high quality, cost effective patient care in the Emergency Department. Coordinates the provision of age specific patient care that is consistent with the policies, procedures and standards of professional nursing practice and consistent with the policies and procedures in place at NTMC. Consults with staff, ED physicians, and the CCO on nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure that patient needs are met. Participates in performance improvement activities within the department.
North Texas Medical Center is a non-profit, acute care hospital located in Gainesville, Texas.
The 120,720-square-foot medical center houses 42 medical/surgical beds, a 6-bed intensive care unit, and a 12-bed women’s center with a dedicated C-Section operating suite. The hospital features an 11-bed Emergency Room with 3 trauma rooms, 4 operating rooms, 2 procedure rooms and 3 wound care treatment areas. Additionally, we offer therapy, laboratory and most medical imaging services including Cardiac Computed Tomography Angiography (CCTA).
NTMC serves the residents of Cooke, eastern Montague, western Grayson and northern Denton counties in Texas and southern Love County, Oklahoma.
