Job Summary

Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, Educational Support Services, the Director, District & School Support (Curriculum, Assessment, College & Career Readiness) plans, organizes, and directs countywide programs, technical assistance, and strategic initiatives to enhance student learning and post-secondary success. This position provides leadership to local educational agencies (LEAs) and County Office programs in the development, monitoring, and implementation of curriculum frameworks, local and state assessment systems, accountability metrics, and the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) process. The Director integrates inclusive practices to support all students through frameworks including Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). The Director collaborates with other SLOCOE staff to support College and Career Readiness initiatives, building capacity across school districts to strengthen K-12 pathways, dual enrollment, and workforce partnerships. Director serves as a core member of the SLOCOE's District and School Support team providing Universal and Targeted Support.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION: Master's degree in education, school administration, curriculum development, or a closely related field is required (Doctorate preferred). EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five (5) years of successful, progressively responsible certificated educational leadership experience at the site, district, or county office level. Experience must include at least three (3) years administering staff development, curriculum development, instructional leadership, or college and career/CTE systems, along with verified personnel management and budget monitoring experience. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California Administrative Services Credential. Valid California Teaching Credential (such as Elementary, Secondary, or equivalent). Valid California Driver's License and willingness to travel as required to conduct local and statewide work assignments.

  • Certification (Verification of Master s degree: Copy of degree and unofficial transcripts.)
  • Credential Copy (Proof of credentials - print-out from CTC is sufficient)
  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (Minimum 3 current letters of recommendation)
