First (Days)Overview:
The Director of Corporate Strategy and Planning plays an integral role in assisting the Vice President of Strategy in developing, implementing, and monitoring strategic initiatives. The director coordinates and staffs multi‑disciplinary teams formed to update system‑wide service line or regional plans and community health needs assessments. The director manages the assessment of market position, trends, demographics, and product line definitions for the system; and collaborates closely with senior executives, providing objective data and analysis that enables leaders to surface issues, make informed decisions, and achieve strategic goals. In addition, the director serves as the corporate expert for centralized data systems specific to market analysis and licensure requirements. The director also manages the strategy team members and is responsible for the selection, mentoring, and performance evaluation of these employees, as well as the development and management of the department budget.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration or public health is required. Master's degree preferred.
Experience:
8 years progressive leadership role in strategic planning and business development.

Healthcare claims (CPT codes) experience
Storyteller and translator of data
Deep understanding of Virginia and North Carolina market trends, data patterns, and regional dynamics preferred
Location:
Remote within 200 miles driving distance to Sentara Park in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
