The world still has coverage blind spots. You could help eliminate them at Skylo.
Skylo has pioneered a standards-based approach to satellite connectivity. We connect smartphones and IoT devices directly to satellites. No special hardware, no entirely new networks. Just billions of existing devices, suddenly reachable anywhere on Earth. We're not building toward this future. We're already in it.
Our direct-to-device service is live on millions of activated devices across five continents, covering more than 72 million square kilometers, in partnership with leading satellite operators, mobile network operators, Tier-1 chipset makers, and OEMs worldwide. And we're just getting started.
At the heart of it all is Skylo's commercial NTN vRAN: a 3GPP standards-based, cloud-native platform that seamlessly bridges terrestrial and satellite networks. It's the infrastructure that makes true anywhere, anytime connectivity possible.
When you join Skylo, you'll work at the intersection of three markets reshaping how the world stays connected: mass-market consumer devices, automotive, and industrial IoT. Enabling people outdoors and critical workflows in the world's most remote places.
This is a rare chance to work on technology that matters, at a company that's already proving it works
How You Will Impact Skylo:
We are seeking a "strategic doer" and exceptional storyteller to develop and drive Skylo's brand across all stakeholders, internally and externally. This is a foundational role responsible for defining the direct-to-device satellite category and building Skylo's reputation as the center of gravity for the open satellite ecosystem.
This person will position Skylo as an indispensable innovator in the market, both as an essential ingredient and as a standalone brand - enterprise, with consumer flair. They will build our visual identity and design system and drive it across every brand touchpoint, own our biggest event moments and our digital presence, drive our thought leadership, and manage our agency partners to a constant drumbeat of earned coverage - building awareness and shaping how the market perceives us.
Responsibilities:
We are not looking for a deeper PR bench. We need the person who makes the story, the creative, the agency partners, and the executives all point in the same direction, every week.
Define the story, and how it gets told. Own Skylo's narrative and how it comes to life, verbally and visually. Turn complex technology into something creative, accurate, and immediately understandable, told the right way for the right audience: a C-suite buyer, a WSJ reporter, an analyst, or a consumer. Ensure our executives and employees tell a consistent story.
Build the brand, then drive it everywhere. Create and manage Skylo's visual identity, vibe, and design system, working with our brand designer and creative agency. Own the creative direction that applies it across everything we do: photography, video, design, the deck, the site, how we show up at events. Redirect work that is visually strong but strategically wrong.
Position Skylo to lead the industry conversation. Make Skylo newsworthy when there is no launch to lean on, through a distinct point of view, thought leadership, and commissioned research. Manage our PR and AR agency as an extension of the team, feeding them a story pipeline so they can get ahead and drive proactive outreach. Build influence with the reporters and analysts who validate us. Make our executives the go-to voices for the category. Protect our reputation before a problem becomes public.
Own Skylo's biggest moments. MWC and moments like it are where the whole company shows up as one. Lead the centralized plan: the narrative, the news, the booth, the advertising, the speaking slots, the briefings, the content we capture, and the budget. Drive the big announcements, and galvanize teams across the company, including Partner Marketing and Sales, around the moment and the news it has to carry.
Build the content engine and own our digital presence. Own skylo.tech end to end. Partner with the right agencies and internal teams to produce original content and video with the lead time it demands. Expand social beyond LinkedIn, and use paid promotion to extend the reach of what works. Place our story on third-party properties, and publish the point of view that gets reporters to call us. Own AI discoverability: how LLMs surface and describe Skylo.
Make an invisible technology matter. Build recognition for technology the end user never sees, inside products other companies sell. Make one story work for large enterprise partners and individual consumers without diluting either, and build the B2B foundation in a way that keeps the consumer story open.
Serve the company without becoming its bottleneck. Build the asset library, content templates, and guidance that let other teams do good work on their own: how to write for social, how a graphic should work. Make clear how and when to engage us, hold the work to Skylo's standards, and help teams source the right creative partners. Understand what each team is actually trying to achieve, and guide them toward the work that will have impact and away from the work that won't.
Be the company's thought partner on brand and story. Partner closely with our founders and leadership team to translate their business objectives into stories the market understands and acts on. Bring their ideas to life: the keynote, the announcement, the campaign, the moment. Be the counsel they come to early on how Skylo shows up as we grow.
Measure what matters, and stop what doesn't. Own the Share of Voice baseline and the leading indicators that predict it: branded search, AI visibility and sentiment, social authority, and the quality of earned coverage. Report in terms a CEO and board will act on, and stop the activity that moves nothing. Manage the budget and ensure ROI.
