Position Description:

We''re growing rapidly and are looking for a Director Consulting Services for our Saint Louis Business Unit who ideally has experience across the health and life sciences industries. As the Director of Consulting Services (DCS) for the Health & Life Sciences practice, you will be a strategic leader and operator who drives business growth, delivers high value consulting engagements, and elevates our presence across a diverse and rapidly evolving industry. You will lead a seasoned consulting team, shape go to market strategies, and expand client partnerships while delivering measurable outcomes aligned with our clients'' transformation priorities. This role requires a blend of strong industry knowledge, business development capability, executive relationship skills, and exceptional delivery leadership.

Our Health & Life Sciences practice spans multiple interconnected markets, including agriculture and agricultural technology, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, health plans and health management organizations, and health systems and providers. This role is ideal for a leader who can translate industry challenges into technology, data, AI, and business transformation opportunities and can build trusted relationships with senior executives across these markets.

This is a hybrid role, which requires someone local to our Saint Louis Office who is willing to be on site four days a week. The role may require travel throughout the business unit''s broader territory and to client locations. Your future duties and responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Practice Growth

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high performing team of 15+ consultants; nurture talent, drive capability development, and instill a performance-oriented culture.
  • Own P&L and program financials for the consulting services area, ensuring profitable growth, forecasting accuracy, and financial discipline.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with market trends, industry needs, and organizational goals across agriculture, life sciences, health management, and health systems.

Business Development & Pipeline Management

  • Build, own, and grow a sales pipeline with a target of $5M+ in new opportunities; demonstrate consistent year-over-year pipeline growth.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic executive relationships across agriculture, life sciences, health plans, health management organizations, and health systems to drive new logo acquisition and expansion within existing accounts.
  • Lead pursuit strategies, response development (RFPs/Proposals), and executive presentations that convert prospects into clients.

Client Engagement & Thought Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to C-Suite and senior leadership, helping clients navigate business and technology transformation priorities including data and AI, digital products and platforms, operational modernization, customer and member experience, enterprise modernization, regulatory requirements, and evolving industry business models.
  • For agriculture and life sciences clients, this may include areas such as research and development, product and supply chain modernization, agricultural data and technology platforms, and commercial transformation.
  • For health plans and health systems, this may include population health, member and patient experience, claims and administrative modernization, interoperability, care management, and enterprise data and analytics.
  • Own the delivery of consulting engagements, ensuring excellence in execution, outcomes delivery, client satisfaction, and measurable business value.
  • Represent CGI at industry conferences, client forums, and thought leadership platforms to elevate the firm''s reputation and industry perspective.

Operational & Delivery Excellence

  • Ensure effective delivery governance across consulting projects, including quality assurance, risk management, and profitability optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross functional delivery teams, technical leads, and partner ecosystems to shape innovative, scalable solutions leveraging modern platforms and technologies across data, cloud, AI, digital, and enterprise systems.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • 10+ years of IT consulting experience, along with industry leadership experience. Ideally experience in one or more of the following: agriculture/agtech, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, health plans and health management, or health systems and providers.
  • Must have demonstrated Business Development skills. Experience in strategic sales planning and opportunity cultivation.
  • Proven experience with stakeholder management, building client relationships, crafting proposals and solutions, and delivery management.
  • Artificial Intelligence and Data knowledge: Proven track record in promoting and selling AI and data solutions to clients.
  • Delivery Accountability: Oversight of projects with a minimum annual value of $3M.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of budgets, forecasting, planning, P&L management, and complex pricing models.
  • Client Relationship Management: Demonstrated success in engaging and building strong client partnerships.
  • Leadership Abilities: Effective people management and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: A keen intellect with strong conceptual thinking and decision-making capabilities.
  • Communication Excellence: Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's Degree

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $141,000.00 - $278,000.00.
