Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000

Position Summary:
The new Health Sciences Campus Community Engagement Office represents a bold step toward reimagining how the Temple Health Sciences Campus partners with the communities we serve. Designed as an innovative hub for connection, collaboration, and shared learning, the office will unite the many strands of community-engaged work into one vibrant, accessible home. By illuminating the efforts already underway and creating new opportunities for students, faculty, and local partners, the office aims to inspire collective action, celebrate meaningful impact, and help drive lasting, positive change across our surrounding neighborhoods. Building on this foundation, the office will serve as a strategic anchor for aligning institutional resources with community priorities. By creating a centralized space where ideas, partnerships, and programs can grow, it will strengthen Temple's role as a committed neighbor and trusted collaborator. Through intentional relationship-building, transparent communication, and a focus on shared outcomes, the office will help bridge academic expertise with community wisdom; ensuring that our work responds to local needs while uplifting the voices and strengths of North Philadelphia residents. The Director will lead the newly established Office for Community Collaboration and Impact, serving as the central hub for community-engaged initiatives across Temple's Health Sciences Campus. This role advances Temple's mission to strengthen relationships with North Philadelphia communities and improve health outcomes through coordination, innovation, and sustained engagement. The Director will oversee strategic planning, operational management, and partnership development to ensure the office fulfills its five pillars: Collate, Collaborate, Create, Learn, and Teach.

Job Details:

Required Education and Experience:
* Master's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Health Administration, or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
* Minimum 6 years of progressive leadership experience in community engagement, health equity, or related areas.
* Demonstrated success in program development, demonstrated connection and partnership building, demonstrated staff supervision and building trusting team relationships.
* Strong understanding of social determinants of health and structural inequities.

Required Skills and Abilities:
* Excellent communication, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work across diverse communities and institutional structures.
* Demonstrated ability to convey concepts of trust and common purpose
* Proficiency in data systems and impact evaluation.

Essential Duties:
* Provide visionary leadership in developing and executing a strategic framework for the office, grounded in the five pillars (Collate, Collaborate, Create, Learn, Teach) shaped in partnership with the Steering Committee to advance long-term institutional and community impact.
* Oversee the creation, governance, and continuous refinement of a comprehensive, campus-wide database of community-engaged programs, ensuring data integrity, transparency, and accessibility. Lead the production of annual impact reports and collaborate with data analysts to translate complex information into compelling, user-friendly formats for both internal stakeholders and community partners.
