Director, Communications Business Partner – PDMS (Design & Manufacturing)

Autodesk is seeking a Director, Communications Business Partner – PDMS (Design & Manufacturing) to lead the development and execution of integrated communications strategies supporting one of Autodesk's core product groups.

In this role, you will serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, shaping both internal and external communications to advance business priorities, strengthen Autodesk's position in the Design & Manufacturing market, and elevate executive visibility across industry, media, and investor audiences.

You will own the end-to-end communications strategy for PDMS—spanning executive communications, thought leadership, media relations, and internal alignment—while leading and developing a high-performing communications function.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive an integrated communications strategy aligned to PDMS business priorities and Autodesk's broader narrative
  • Translate complex technology and product strategies into clear, compelling narratives
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, shaping messaging and positioning
  • Develop quarterly and annual communications plans tied to business outcomes
  • Lead executive communications including keynotes, investor-facing content, and Board materials
  • Build and execute a thought leadership platform for PDMS leaders
  • Develop high-impact content including speeches, presentations, and messaging frameworks
  • Drive strategic speaking opportunities aligned with business priorities
  • Lead media relations strategy and build relationships with press, analysts, and influencers
  • Position Autodesk as a leader in Design & Manufacturing through storytelling and engagement
  • Partner with global teams to amplify product launches and customer stories
  • Ensure consistency in messaging and brand voice
  • Develop internal communications strategies that align teams to business priorities
  • Drive clear, consistent communication across a global, matrixed organization
  • Support key internal moments including All Hands and leadership messaging
  • Ensure connectivity between internal and external narratives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing communications team and/or agency partners
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, IR, Industry Communications, and Global Comms

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven ability to influence and advise senior executives
  • Experience leading integrated communications strategies
  • Experience leading teams or managing agencies
  • Strong media relations background
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate in a matrixed organization
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
