RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct comprehensive credit assessments of counterparties and underlying real estate and real asset collateral;provide detailed analysis of historical performance, key risk factors, and structural considerations
Provide approval or recommendation for approval based on proposed limits and tenors;document recommendations clearly for final credit decision-making
Validate Obligor Risk Ratings, Basel II parameters including LGDs, and other key financial metrics across the real estate and real assets portfolio
Perform ongoing monitoring of portfolio credit quality including early detection of deteriorating credits and active participation in quarterly watch list review processes
Track credit and market trends across individual real estate and real asset classes;stay current on US market dynamics and regulatory practices
Assist the Portfolio Management and Governance team in preparing reporting for senior risk management and regulators
Contribute to the development and refinement of the bank's credit policy guidelines and overall risk appetite framework;participate in setting global risk appetite for real estate and real assets financing initiatives
Assess new business initiatives including white papers, New Product Committees, and business rules from a real assets credit risk perspective
Collaborate across the risk division and with business lines, legal, compliance, and other internal partners to ensure sound and timely credit decisions
Expand coverage scope over time into broader real assets including project finance as the portfolio and role evolve
