Job Summary
The Senior Director of Commercial & Private Bank Strategic Planning & Transformation manages the strategic planning function for the Commercial & Private Bank including; design and development of formal strategic plans, regulatory presentations, internal communications, enterprise initiatives and budgets. In addition, manages the incentive and sales management function including; incentive design, goal setting, sales enablement and tracking and market intelligence.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Leads the ongoing development of the strategic plans for C/PB and will of its business units.
  • Works directly with line of business leaders to design and formalize strategic plans around expansion, transformation, growth along with the appropriate measures, targets, risks and dependencies which will impact those plans.

BUR/BOD/ALCO/Regulatory Presentations:

  • Presentation/content design for key internal and external stakeholders. Works closely with Reporting team who prepares the presentations; this is design and content management.

Internal Communications:

  • Manages all internal communications to achieve a timely and effective cascade of critical information across CPB.

Enterprise Initiatives:

  • Leads and directs enterprise level initiatives within CPB (e.g. Expense Transformation), coordinating and collaboration across all CPB leadership and functions.

Budgets:

  • Translates business plans into top-level budgets for CPB and its business units.
  • Designs goal setting process and standards for all CPB roles and positions ensuring alignment with budgets, strategies.

Incentives and Sales Management:

  • Designs and executes incentive plans for CPB.
  • Designs and executes referral program (internal and third parties).
  • Designs and executes recognition programs.
  • Oversees sales enablement functions (data, tools, tracking, etc.).
  • Oversees sales tracking/productivity measurement and benchmarking.
  • Oversees market intelligence function.
  • Responsible for talent management functions including: employment, performance evaluations, staff development/training, disciplinary actions, succession planning and ensuring all staff comply with compliance requirements.

  • Uses independent judgement and discretion to make decisions.
  • Analyzes and resolves problems.
  • May be responsible for talent management functions including: employment, performance evaluations, staff development/training, disciplinary actions, succession planning and ensuring all staff comply with compliance requirements.

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent.
  • Minimum experience required: 15+ Years of proven progressive business strategy and analytics related experience required, preferably in the financial industry.
  • Demonstrated hands on experience and willingness to dive into data sets, ability to abstract and identify pattern, perform data validation, clean up and transformation needed for business analysis.
  • Expertise in business analytics and tools.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to explain complex concepts succinctly and effectively.
  • Strong level of personal organization with excellent oral and written communication skills including ability to present to and influence senior and executive management.
  • Creative problem-solving ability who can develop alternative solutions.Advanced MS Access & MS Excel skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education level preferred: Master's Degree (or Postgraduate equivalent) in Finance or Accounting.

Pay Range
$189,375.00 - $303,000.00
