We are looking for a dedicated Director, Billing and Coding Compliance like you to be a part of our team. Job Summary and Qualifications The Director provides strategic leadership for the regulatory compliance program supporting freestanding Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) billing and coding. This role oversees coding and billing compliance across Surgery Ventures Group (SVG), ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and authoritative guidance. The Director leads a team that will be responsible for the development of compliant coding and billing policies, education, and training; partners with operational and clinical leaders to promote accurate documentation that supports compliant coding and billing; and collaborates with corporate leadership and Legal on regulatory and operational reviews. Based in Nashville (preferred), this position reports to the Managing Assistant Vice President, Coding and Clinical Documentation and regularly engages with executives across HCA and SVG. What you will do in this role: - Develop, implement, conduct and/or coordinate guidance that promotes coding/billing compliance with applicable federal / state laws and regulations, and support Corporate / SVG compliance initiatives. - Review concerns or questions relative to regulatory or compliance issues and provide guidance and support to centers and SVG leadership. - Coordinate the delivery of required training curriculums, including but not limited to: Coding and Billing quarterly and annual code updates. - Develop and/or provide compliance-focused educational seminars for SVG personnel including Billers, Coders, Business Office Managers and Ethics and Compliance Officers. - Assist in investigating Ethics Line cases. - Organize and maintain government payer reimbursement information, including coverage guidelines, payment calculators, and audit efforts. - Assist in assessing compliance of key revenue cycle processes as requested by Divisional leadership. - Provide assistance to center staff and SVG leadership regarding major issues and recommendations from Corporate internal audit and/or internal compliance efforts. - Perform other duties as assigned. - Practice and follow the philosophy of the 'Code of Conduct' and 'Mission and Value Statement'. What qualifications you will need: Bachelor's degree required Seven years' experience in health care industry regulatory compliance, coding, billing, internal audit and/or financial management. A working knowledge of health care compliance matters including laws and regulations by various agencies is preferred. Knowledge of health care revenue cycle operations is preferred.
