This Director of Case Management role is based in Tampa, FL, leading the full scope of case management operations at an acute care hospital. The position carries executive visibility and demands a candidate who combines clinical credibility with strong operational and leadership acumen.

The role. Reporting to the facility CFO and Division Case Management Leader, the Director holds full accountability for daily hospital case management operations — from staffing and skill mix decisions to information technology utilization and staff competency development. The Director drives care coordination and discharge planning processes across the hospital, ensuring timeliness, quality, and documentation integrity. A core part of the work involves analyzing operational data to identify improvement opportunities and implementing sustainable performance changes. The Director builds and maintains collaborative relationships with senior clinical and administrative leaders, including the CMO, CNO, ancillary service leaders, and compliance and legal partners, to optimize clinical resource utilization and continuity of care.

What we're looking for.
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or Business Administration preferred
  • Active licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) required
  • 3+ years of experience in acute care hospital case management required
  • 2+ years of case management leadership experience in an acute care setting required

Schedule. Full-time, day shift, weekdays only, with the possibility of occasional on-call rotations or extended hours.
